Abel and Wingebach
Jodi Wingebach and Mark Abel, both of Eudora, were married Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Pat Riley officiating and the Rev. Thomas Cawley concelebrating.
The bride is the daughter of Cindy Wingebach, Eudora, and the late Tom Wingebach.
She is the granddaughter of Raymond and Dorothy Wingebach, Eudora, Kenneth Turner, Grain Valley, Mo., and the late Judy Turner.
The groom is the son of Chris and Theresa Abel, Eudora.
He is the grandson of Robert Cawley and Mary Abel, both of Eudora, and the late Barbara Cawley and the late George Abel. His great-grandmother is Lois Gish, Lawrence.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her grandfathers, Kenneth Turner and Raymond Wingebach.
Maid of honor was Alisha Wingebach, sister of the bride. Best man was Matthew Abel, brother of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Megan Braden, Katelyn Abel, sister of the groom, Jennifer Akers, cousin of the bride, and Rachel Lawson, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Cliff Akers, cousin of the bride, Craig Harris, cousin of the groom, Austin Calhoon, and Miles Cleveland.
Flower girl was Kaylee Charbonneau, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Trent Sommer, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Chris Case and Tyler Wingebach, cousins of the bride, and Brian Harris, cousin of the groom.
Altar servers were Aaron Foster, Kyle Abel, and Cameron Foster, cousins of the groom. Stefanie Wingebach, cousin of the bride, was the guest book attendant. Cynthia Renfro was pianist.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Eudora High School. She graduated from Pinnacle Career Institute in August 2008 as a Certified Medical Assistant. She is employed by American Dermatology Associates in Shawnee.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Eudora High School and is attending Emporia State University. He plans to graduate in 2010 with a degree in business management. He is employed at FedEx Ground in Kansas City, Mo.
The couple reside in Shawnee.
