Services for Peggy Maria Mayhugh, 70, Lawrence, were Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Lawrence Baptist Temple. Burial was in Mount Sidney Cemetery, Linwood.
Mrs. Mayhugh died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 10, 1930, in Linwood, the daughter of Barney Osa and Ruth Maria (Jones) Evans. She moved to Lawrence in 1981 from Linwood.
Mrs. Mayhugh was a member of the Lawrence Baptist Temple.
She married Clarence Hedrick Mayhugh on Nov. 28, 1947, in Topeka. He died June 5, 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Mayhugh and James Mayhugh, both of Lawrence; two daughters, Anna Church and Nola Mayhugh, both of Lawrence; two brothers, Alfred Evans, Polo, Mo., and Joseph Evans, Kansas City, Kan.; five sisters, Barbara Blackburn, Ventura, Calif.; Anna Barnett, Kansas City, Kan.; Osy Coffman, Lawrence; Goldie Zimmerli, Bonner Springs, and Doris Rees, McLouth; and two grandsons.
Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence, was in charge of arrangements.
