Johnnie E. Tucking
Graveside services for Johnnie Edward Tucking, 89, Tonganoxie, formerly of Valley Falls, were Saturday, Dec. 9, at Spring Grove Cemetery, Boyle.
Mr. Tucking died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
He was born March 30, 1911, in Boyle, and graduated from Winchester High School.
Mr. Tucking was a farmer in the Valley Falls area until 1954 when he moved to Kansas City, Kan., and worked for Sealright. He later retired and moved back to the Valley Falls area.
Survivors include four daughters, LaVina Parish and Ruth Clark, both of Linwood, and Charlene Long and Rose Mary Sutton, both of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, John Tucking, Kearney, Mo.; two stepsons, John Boyce, Topeka, and Don Boyce, Texas; a stepdaughter, Karen Harrison, Topeka; a brother, Delmer Tucking, Valley Falls; a sister, Viola Knutson, California; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
