Graveside memorial services for Minnie Florence Green, 98, Eudora, were held Monday, June 19, at DeSoto Cemetery.
Mrs. Green died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at the Center for Long-Term Care in Olathe.
She was born May 12, 1902, in DeSoto, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Kenemaun) Oshel.
Mrs. Green lived in Olathe from the 1920s until 1975, when she moved to Eudora. She had also lived in Eudora and the DeSoto area as a child.
She was a waitress for many years at Velvet Freeze in Olathe. She had also been a waitress in DeSoto.
Mrs. Green was a member of First Assembly of God, Olathe.
She married George Green on Dec. 25, 1937, in DeSoto. He died July 27, 1968.
A son, Herbert Soper, died in 1980. Five sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Helen Bluhm, Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
The family suggests memorials to the Youth Group at First Assembly of God, 920 W. Spruce, Olathe, KS 66061.
Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, was in charge of arrangements.
