Voter registration increases for general election

The final tabulation of registered voters is in for Eudora and its township. As the general election closes in next Tuesday, more voters registered for this election than the August primary.

For Tuesday`s election, 263 more voters registered in the Eudora city and township. In the central Eudora precinct, 947 voters registered compared to 813 in August. In north Eudora, 601 registered compared to 561. In the south Eudora precinct, 1,488 registered compared to 1,389 in August.

"It`s the presidential election; that`s generally what increases," said Jo Dalquest, Douglas County deputy clerk.

Voters in the north Eudora precinct will vote at the Eudora City Hall, located at 7th and Main Street. Central Eudora precinct voters will go to the Eudora Public Library at 114 East 9th Street. South Eudora precinct voters will go to the Eudora Township Fire Department located at 310 East 20th Street, south of K-10 highway and west of Church Street.
