A season to remember

Seniors played a key role in Eudora’s best football campaign ever

November 16, 2000

With the end of an emotional season, comes the end of an era for 11 Eudora football players.

Some of the seniors who helped lead the Cardinals further than any team in Eudora`s history have now played their last football game, while other look forward to continuing their athletic careers in college.

Members of this year`s senior class developed from winning only one game in their seventh, eighth and ninth grade seasons combined, to finishing their senior year 9-2. They are the Frontier League and bi-district champions and finished second in their region.

Brian Harris was the spark plug to a season that saw Eudora High
advance to the Kansas Class 4A quarterfinals. Harris rushed for
more than 1,600 yards and 23 touchdowns in leading the Cardinals to
their first Frontier League title in 28 years.
