Cards take seventh in Tonganoxie
Sean Mullis finished 21st as the Eudora High cross country team managed a seventh-place finish at last Thursday's invitational meet in Tonganoxie.
Mullis completed the course in 18 minutes, while sophomore James Barr was 36th with a time of 18:44. Seniors Daniel Chrislip and Peter Hickman were 52nd and 54th, respectively. Trevor O'Grady finished 62nd.
Jill Abel was the top-finishing Eudora girl at the meet in Tonganoxie. She placed 17th with a time of 13:21. Junior Sarah Katzfey was 34th, while Carolyn Jones and Melissa Steel finished 44th and 58th, respectively.
"Our goal right now is to get healthy and be strong coming into the home meet," said coach Paul Boone. "I'm pleased with the times and we will continue to work on competing with every race."
The Cards have been competing without Rhiannon Tiner, Estelle Montgomery, Austin Roberts and Tyler Matthews all of whom have been injured or sick.
