Services for Fred L. Davis, 75, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at DeSoto Baptist Church. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Mo.

Mr. Davis died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000.

He was born July 20, 1925, in Lincoln, Mo., the son of Horace Edgar and Grace Davis.

He graduated from high school in Deepwater, Mo.

Mr. Davis served in the Navy with an attachment to the Marines during World War II.

He started and owned Modern Engineering Construction Co., and was a member of the Scottish Rite, Masons and Shriners.

Survivors include two sons, Lowell E. Davis, DeSoto, and Randolph W. Davis, Fairway; a sister, Wanda Ann Wallace, Overland Park; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie Davis, a brother, John "J.B." Davis and a sister, Wilma Roberts.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., DeSoto.

The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Assn., 2007 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64108.
