1919-2001

Graveside inurnment services for Ardith L. Rhodd, 81, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tesson Cemetery, White Cloud.

Mrs. Rhodd died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at her home.

She was born Oct. 2, 1919, in Emerson, Iowa, the daughter of John and Nora Edie Simpson. She moved to Eudora in 1994 from Rulo, Neb.

Mrs. Rhodd was a homemaker, and was a member of White Cloud Presbyterian Church.

She married George L. Rhodd on April 9, 1939, in Hiawatha. He died Sept. 14, 1984.

Survivors include four daughters, Karen Foote, Falls City, Neb., Deborah Ogden, Lockwood, Mo., Pamela Longacre, Eudora, and Lisa Eggerman, Golden City, Mo.; four sons, George D. Rhodd, Falls City, Neb., Louis Rhodd and Ronald Rhodd, both of Eudora, and Reg Rhodd, Phoenix; a brother, Virgil Simpson, Falls City, Neb.; two sisters, Ruby Allen, Winchester, and Maxine French, Pine Grove, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Two grandchildren and a great-grandchild died earlier.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence.
