November 15, 2001

On behalf of the Eudora High School football team, I would like to thank everyone who made the trip of over 100 miles to our playoff game at Sabetha High School, and supported us throughout the entire season.

The support you showed was tremendous and helped inspire our team numerous times throughout the game. There is nothing like high school football that puts a school district and community on display, and what our community displayed all year is second to none.

The actual football team, band, cheerleaders, dance team, drill team, bleacher creatures, homecoming festivals, 12th man club, booster club and numerous other groups help make Friday night lights a special night.

As we travel throughout our league and state, we are subjected to all types of fans, and I think it is safe to say the best ones reside here in Eudora. I have always been impressed with the positive attitude and the overall first-class actions of our fans, and in turn, I feel it reflects on our neighbors' positive views of our growing community.

Even though my wife and I have only lived here four short years, I am very proud to call Eudora my home!

Thank you once again for your outstanding support toward our football team. I wish we could have brought home a state championship for our community this year, but WE WILL BE BACK!

Now that we're spending $16 million on another complex, how about restoring summer school for the kids who need it?
