Holy Family vandalized
Girls between the ages of 9 and 11 vandalized Holy Family Catholic Church Tuesday afternoon, said Crpl. Greg Neis of the Eudora Police Department.
"They didn't do a lot of permanent damage," he said.
No damage totals were available, but the most expensive damage was to a candle lighter, Neis said. The suspects poured liquid on the floor, threw books around and burned some papers, he said.
The suspects found an open door to the church the day before and decided to come back, Neis said. When several church members stopped by and witnessed the vandalism, they called the Eudora Police.
Neis said nothing had been turned over to the Douglas County District attorney as of Wednesday morning.
