Services for Lola B. Gulley, 97, Kansas City, Kan., were Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, De Soto. Burial was at Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Ms. Gulley died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Eudora Nursing Center.
She was born April 24, 1905, in Hamilton, Mo.
Ms. Gulley was a homemaker and took jobs doing ironing, laundry and childcare.
Survivors include five daughters, Betty Parr and Beulah Miller, both of De Soto, Peggy Holwick, McLouth, Kathy Bohlken, Countryside, and Judy Frese, Lenexa; five sons, Buck Gulley, Climax Springs, Mo., and Jimmy Gulley, Bobby Gulley, Danny Gulley, and Larry Gulley, all of De Soto; 30 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Joseph Gulley, and a granddaughter died earlier.

As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
