Designers, city officials and community members want to make sure a proposed new city swimming pool has something to offer everyone in Eudora, especially people without the children for whom pools are usually designed.

It is time for our annual New Year’s resolutions for Eudora. Unlike personal resolutions, we don’t define resolutions as determination to change the community for the better — although we think some items of the list would — but rather of resolving community issues.

Well, are you exhausted? The big day has come and gone, as has the shopping, baking, cleaning (my vacuum sat in the middle of the living room floor for at least two weeks), friends, birthdays, church caroling and enjoying time with family and grandchildren. One of the most fun features of Christmas this year was a day with my grandsons.
