A $1 million phase in a plan to bring more efficient sewer service to east Eudora will be bid as soon as easements are secured and property issues are sorted out, project manager John Mitchell of Burns and McDonnell told the Eudora City Council Oct. 28.

Once again I find myself in front of my computer with lots of ideas competing for this column: Such things as my shrinking 401K, a concern I share with millions of other people today; the vivid color of the changing trees this fall both here and in Lawrence West Lawrence especially; and the recent dreadful news from the Washington D.C. area concerning the sniper shootings of innocent people.
