Eudora High School will have a community pep rally at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school gym, 2635 Church St. to show support to the football team and coaching staff before the sub-state game against Fort Scott Friday night at Laws Field.

Fans should reflect football team’s performance

The Eudora High School football team has advanced further in the state playoffs than anytime in its history. This accomplishment should be a matter of pride for the community. For the vast majority of Cardinals fans, it is. But unfortunately as is all-to-often the case in sports there is a small percentage of fans who can’t enjoy a sporting event for what it is.

I would like to recognize all the young people in Eudora for their successes these past few months. Now, I know the first thing that comes to mind is the football team, and I will get to that later.
