Private services for Agnes (Coleman) Stewart, 91, Belton, Mo., will be at a later date. She was cremated.
Mrs. Stewart died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003.
She was born Oct. 29, 1912, in Pryor, Okla., the daughter of George and Clara Coleman.
She graduated from Eudora, Kan., High School and Lawrence Business College. She had also lived in Gardner and Olathe.
Mrs. Stewart taught in rural Johnson County schools for several years and also served as treasurer at the Olathe Naval Base. She was a 50-year member of Morning Grange, where she served as master and secretary.
She and her husband served as Secretary of the Kansas State Grange and managed the State headquarters on Lake Perry for a number of years. She was a former member of the Presbyterian and Friends churches of Gardner.
She married Wayne Stewart on Oct. 16, 1934 in Garden City. He died in July 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Rogge, Raymore, Mo., and Sharleen Stone, Mineral Wells, Texas; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
McGilley and Frye Funeral Home in Olathe was in charge of arrangements.
