With Eudora schools closed Jan. 16, fifth-grader Dominic Lehmann, adjusting his ski mask, and sisters joined about a dozen other children last Thursday morning for sledding and snowboarding on the hill near Church Street and the Kansas Highway 10 overpass. About five inches of snow fell on Eudora between Jan. 15 and 16, and snow pummeled Eudora again Wednesday. More snow flurries are expected Friday.
$2.6 million plan offers flexibility

Despite some concerns raised about the burden a new pool would place on taxpayers, the Eudora City Council decided at a community forum and special meeting Tuesday to push forward with the current plan. Designed with input from community members, the current design is estimated to cost $2.6 million.
