Donald L. Kelch
Graveside services for Donald LeRoy Kelch, 64, Lawrence, were Friday, July 11, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
Mr. Kelch died Monday, July 7, 2003, in Lawrence.
He was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Topeka, the son of Raymond Otis and Maxine (Shaw) Kelch. He grew up in Oskaloosa and graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1958.
Mr. Kelch was a mechanic for 42 years and for the past three years drove a truck for United Suppliers of Eudora. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a companion, Mildred Vanderslice, of the home; a stepson, Roy Vanderslice, Lawrence; six stepdaughters, Marie Kennedy and Nancy, both of Lawrence, Tracy and Ruby, both of Holton, Tammy, Colorado, and Tina, Eudora; his mother, Maxine Scott, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Jerry Kelch and Billy Kelch, both of Lawrence; and a sister, Neota Heffner, Lawrence.
A sister, Leota Carlson, preceded him in death.
Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence was in charge of arrangements.
