Mary L. Little
Graveside services for Mary L. Little, 95, Eudora, were Saturday, July 12, at Washington Creek Cemetery, rural Douglas County. A memorial service was Sunday at First Central Church of the Brethren, Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Little died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Eudora Nursing Center.
She was born March 16, 1908, in rural Douglas County, the daughter of Henry and Mary Biar (Grammer) Turner. She grew up in the Washington Creek area and attended Appanoose School.
Mrs. Little was a homemaker. She also taught piano and spent many summers as a cook for Camp Mount Hermon. She and her husband lived in Ottawa and moved in 1942 to Kansas City, Kan.
She was a member of First Central Church of the Brethren, Kansas City, Kan.
She married Mahlon G. Little on April 4, 1926, in Ottawa. He died Dec. 10, 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Ivan Little, Shawnee, and Joseph Little, Oklahoma City; three daughters, Mary Catharine Strahm Franz, Topeka, Dorothy Barndt, Wilsonville, Ore., and Sarah Cox, Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Two granddaughters died earlier.
