Services for Gerald Raybern, 57, Topeka, were Monday, March 3, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Raybern died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1945, in San Francisco, the son of James C. and Lillie M. Raybern. He attended Eudora High School and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1963. He had lived in Eudora, Lawrence and Topeka.
Mr. Raybern had worked in construction.
He married Dianna Thomas on Aug. 7, 1965. They later divorced. He then married Josie Rogers. They later divorced.
Survivors include two daughters, Sondra Murphy, Lawrence, and Belinda Godden, West Palm Beach, Fla.; a son, Shane Raybern, Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Tania Rogers, Topeka; eight sisters, Lorene Martin, Atchison, Elsie Bunney, Denton, Md., Susan Crawford, Eudora, Catherine Goetler, Rockton, Ill., Roberta Coloff, Fort Collins, Colo., Sharon Raybern, Donna Bagby and Geraldine Thomas, all of Lawrence; three brothers, Charles Raybern, Missouri, Allen Martin, Atchison, and Michael Martin, Washington; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
