Graveside services for Lorena White, Ava, Mo., were Thursday, March 6, at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.
Mrs. White died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Heart of the Ozarks Care Center in Ava.
She was born April 22, 1909, in Ottawa, the daughter of James A. and Cora Bell (Jones) Jones. She attended school in Ottawa, where she lived until she moved to Lawrence in 1999 and then to Ava.
As a girl, Mrs. White worked at Lathan Poultry House and North American Hotel Cafe in Ottawa. She was later a homemaker. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa.
She married Warren White on Dec. 22, 1928, in Ottawa. He died Feb. 25, 1999.
Survivors include seven nieces, including Nancy Rutherford Hawkins, Lawrence; 11 nephews, including Harry Morgan, Eudora, Meredith Rutherford, Lawrence, and Jim Jones, Ottawa; and many great-nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the Lorena White Memorial Fund, sent in care of the Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa 66067.
