Eudora’s Dahlem named city’s new Chief of Police

The Eudora City Council named Sgt. Greg Dahlem as Eudora’s new police chief Monday night. Prior to the Council’s decision, about 80 candidates from across the country had applied for the police position, which ended up going to the Eudora officer.
Boys basketball program exceeds expectations, satisfies fans, coach says

The Eudora boys basketball team had its annual awards banquet March 24. The banquet was a final gathering of a group of basketball players that took Eudora to another level this past season. It was an opportunity to honor individual achievements and reflect on an encouraging and positive year.
Eudora grapplers hope to become All-Americans

High school graduates are often flooded with congratulatory gifts. Some receive money, a rare few get a new car, and there always seem to be at least one pen set. Don’t bother wrapping up a pen for Eudora senior wrestler Mike Paxton though, he already has a record-breaking 29 pins this year.

Spring break ski trip one for the record books

For many Eudora residents and several of their family members (including some of my own) going along for the first time, the 2003 ski trip to Winter Park, Colo., during spring break will be one to remember for quite some time. We made history by being part of the “Snowstorm of the Century” and being snowbound when war against Iraq broke out. But, we survived.
