Public pool could open Monday
If everything goes as planned, the Eudora Pool would be filled with water Friday and open for business Monday, said Eudora Recreation Director Dianna Beebe.
City Superintendent Jim Boyer said preparations for the pool were going better than expected. Initially, it was thought the pool might not open until mid-June.
The city offices received quite a few phone calls about the pool, said City Clerk Donna Oleson.
If the pool is opened Monday, swimming lessons will proceed as scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon that day, and public swimming will begin at 1 p.m.
Registration for family and individual passes will take place Monday south of the pool at Lucy Kaegi Park. Family passes are $75. Individual passes for adults and youth are $35.
Day passes to the pool are $2 for adults and $1 for youth.
A study session for the future of the pool is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 5 at Eudora City Hall, 4 E. Seventh St.
