Second Bulldog loss ends state hopes

Senior tailback Micah Mason and his Bulldogs ran over the Eudora Cardinals 43-18 at Laws Field Nov. 4 in a bi-district playoff game. Baldwin (8-2) is responsible for two of Eudora’s (7-3) three losses and for ending its season.

The Eudora cross country team completed a strong season with a historical trip to the 4A state cross country meet Saturday at Wamego. Brittney Graff and Tighe Van Anne each took home all-state honors, bestowed on the top-20 runners.

The Bermuda grass on the Mill Valley football field had already died. By the end of the Jaguars 20-13 loss to the Eudora Cardinals Oct. 30, so had their playoff hopes and their season.

Eudorans will have the chance to test drive the future of Kansas Highway 10 when the community is invited to a meeting of area leaders Thursday night to discuss a K-10 Highway corridor study. The meeting, scheduled by the Kansas Department of Transportation, begins at 7 p.m. at Eudora City Hall, 4 E. Seventh St.
