On behalf of the American Heart Association, I would like to acknowledge the participation of Eudora citizens in this year's Cardiac Arrest. The event raised over $2,500 to benefit the American Heart Association and help in the fight against the nation's number one killer -- cardiovascular disease and stroke.
The American Heart Association has funded nearly $2 billion in cardiovascular research since 1949. Because of such fund raising efforts as Cardiac Arrest, the American Heart Association has also developed useful educational programs targeted toward all ages in order to teach them how to combat heart and blood vessel diseases.
The following people and businesses made this successful event possible: Parole Board -- Susan Copeland, Coldwell Banker; Greg Dahlem, Eudora Police Department; Ruby Dalrymple, Eudora Nursing Center; Marty Flanagan, United States Postal Service; Bill Folks, Simple Simon's Pizza; Brent Lathrom, Mutual Savings Association; Tedi Rau, Greenway Apartment Homes; Ronda Shepard, Kaw Valley State Bank; Joe Steffen, Dairy Queen; Shari Turnbaugh, Cardinal Cleaners LLC; Judge: Eric Strimple; Eudora City Hall and The Eudora News.
