The arguments about whether developers should be allowed to add five single-family homes and 52 duplexes to a Shadow Ridge addition came down to city planners views on the merits — or detriments — of high-density living in Eudora.

The only thing wrong with a proposed new addition of Pinecrest apartments is who would be living there. That was the conclusion Eudora planners drew after their second attempt to recommend how the City Council should handle a rezoning request that would allow Commercial Group to open its new set of apartments to people of all ages, not just limiting occupancy to senior citizens.
Board exploring biotech school

A proposed charter school would bring a focus on biotechnology to Eudora students, but first the plan must be adopted by the USD 491 Board of Education, which will meet Friday afternoon to discuss the project.

A new era was forced upon the Cardinals, but that is nothing new to Eudora. Last year the team had to adjust to the loss of a highly successful coach. The Cardinals transitioned into a new system under head coach Gregg Webb that yielded a remarkable and memorable campaign.
