Spirit of the season
Late Night with the Cards back Tuesday for year three
A new spirit event is on its way to becoming a tradition. The third-annual Late Night with the Cards will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Eudora High School, 2203 Church St.
The event, sponsored by the high school's drill team, is intended to kick off the winter sports season. The team adapted the idea from area junior high schools that used Kansas University's Late Night with Roy Williams as a model.
The event includes performances by the drill team, cheerleading squad and band.
The boys and girls basketball teams will scrimmage later in the evening.
The boys and girls basketball players will return for an encore performance of their skits and dance routines they performed at last year's event.
Admission is $1 per person with all money earned going to support the programs appearing at late night.
