Old middle school adapts to fit new programs

So far, about 45 students attend the three different two-year Eudora programs — culinary arts, health career sciences and auto collision repair. Area high school students — including Eudorans — attend the half-day classes in addition to their regular high school work.

The program, which is run through Greenbush Educational Consortium — which also oversees the Eudora vocational education program — is housed in what used to be the Eudora Middle School band room. The most drastic change in converting the room from a music center to a high school classroom as been the addition of a bank of computers. Much of a student’s work was done online, Poltera said.
Cardinal volleyball bounces Basehor, Bonner and Baldwin

Eudora defeated Basehor 25-10, 25-16. The Cardinals then handled Bonner Springs 25-9, 25-14. And in the night’s final match, Eudora outlasted Baldwin 13-25, 26-24, 15-9.

Eudora will indeed be contested for the title this year. Fellow Frontier League schools Louisburg and Paola will kick off inaugural campaigns this season.
Home sweet home

The pint-sized playhouse will be given away in a drawing, with ticket proceeds going to Sancta Maria, whose elementary levels are taught in Eudora, with junior high and high school children attending classes in Lawrence.
