Nancy L. Decker
Services for Nancy L. Decker, 59, Emporia, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at First Friends Church in Emporia, with the Rev. Galen Hinshaw officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Clearfield Cemetery, south of Eudora.
Mrs. Decker died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.
She was born June 16, 1945, in Lawrence, the daughter of Earl and Arvelda Chanay Wright.
Mrs. Decker worked at Moore Burger and the A&W as a carhop in Lawrence. She worked for more than 20 years as a water meter reader for the city of Lawrence, and she also worked at the Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe. She trained and showed horses as a youth and into her teens. She was a member of the First Friends Church.
She married the Rev. William Tom Decker on Feb. 19, 1966, in Lawrence. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, John Decker, Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Kelly Neis, Eudora; three brothers, Ron Wright, Jim Wright and Steve Wright, all of Baldwin City; and six grandchildren.
