The bride is a 1994 graduate of Manhattan High School. She graduated from Kansas State University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in family life and community services, and graduated from Kansas University in 2003 with a master's degree in early childhood special education. She is employed as a lead preschool teacher at Brookcreek Learning Center, Lawrence.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Baxter Springs High School. He graduated from Southern Missouri State University in1999 with a bachelor's degree in mass communications. He is employed as a pagination editor for The Ottawa Herald, Ottawa. He had worked for the De Soto Explorer and The Eudora News.
A reception was given at Steve's Place in Lawrence.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the couple live in Lawrence.
