Eudora candidates among those filing for primaries
Several Eudorans are among candidates for the Aug. 3 primary election who filed with the Secretary of State's office as of noon Wednesday. Candidates had until noon Thursday to meet the filing deadline.
Up for grabs in the state legislature is the 38th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives, a seat currently held by Rob Boyer, an Olathe Republican. Anthony Brown is a Eudora candidate for the seat.
Boyer is seeking election to the Ninth District seat in the Kansas Senate. He will go up against the incumbent, fellow Republican Kay
The state senate's 3rd District has one Democrat and two Republicans running for the seat held by Bob Lyon, who announced in May he would not seek re-election. Richard Rodewald, of rural Eudora, is seeking election for the seat.
Eudorans will also have the opportunity to vote for U.S. Senate and U.S. House seats.

Candidates in each category are listed in alphabetical order. Candidates whose e-mail and Web sites are listed submitted the information to the Secretary of State's office.
