Different venue, familiar lineup for EHS graduation
With many awards handed out to Eudora High School seniors Sunday (see related story, Page 8A), the graduation ceremonies for the class of 2004 are expected to be shorter this year. The high school anticipates graduating 76 seniors this Sunday.
Commencement will take place at the new high school building, 2203 Church St., making this year's class the first to graduate from the new facility, which opened at the beginning of their senior year, in August 2003. Despite the new venue, the ceremonies will include traditions like a video presentation and performances by Eudora High School choir and band students.
Slated to speak to the graduates is U.S. Congressman Dennis Moore, whose district includes Eudora.
The festivities begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. A reception line will follow in the commons.
