Political apathy is not a concern when it comes to voters in the Kansas House 38th District. My wife and I were inspired by the strong show of support we received from voters during the recent Aug. 3 primary.
During the past few months as we walked and met over 2,800 residents of the K-10 corridor, we were equally impressed by the knowledge voters have of the political process and a firm belief that their vote does make a difference.
I am personally grateful for all the support 38th District patrons provided me throughout the campaign with yard signs, phone calling, and distribution of information. I was equally grateful and impressed by the many people who voted in the primary.
At this time, I am fortunate to be running unopposed in the general election and will therefore spend the next few months fostering new and existing relationships with patrons of the 38th District and building a strong communication system that will enable me to keep our communities informed of the issues being discussed and debated in our Kansas statehouse. I would like to encourage the residents to register on my e-mail database with contact information so the voters can be involved in the law making process. I would like to make my contact information available for anyone to contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org, and 542-2293.
