Daniel C. Searls
Services for Daniel Christopher Searls, 41, De Soto, were Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery, Eudora.
Mr. Searls died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1963, in Springfield, Mo., the son of Karl and Joy Searls. He graduated from Center High School in Kansas City, Mo., and attended Kansas University in 1987 to study early childhood development.
Mr. Searls worked as a laser technician with the Mid-America Kidney Stone Assn. He previously had worked for Marillac. He volunteered as executive director of the Face of Hope Foundation, which provides free facial surgery to children with special needs, and participated in numerous marathons around the country.
He married Yvonne De Keyser on Sept. 27, 1991, at Queen of the Holy Rosary in Overland Park. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his parents, Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Adonis Searls and Noah Searls, of the home; two daughters, Kirsten Searls and Linnea Searls, both of the home; a sister, Debbie McLaughlin, Shawnee; and a brother, Dave Searls, Raymore, Mo.
