Nellie B. Ryan
Services for Nellie B. Ryan, 72, Parsons, were Friday, Aug. 5, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial was Saturday, Aug. 6, at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Ryan died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at her home.
She was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Winston, Mo., the daughter of Edson James and Helen L. Hildenbrand Clark. She graduated from Winston High School. She also lived in De Soto, Edgerton, California, and moved to Parsons in 1981.
Mrs. Ryan worked at the Good Samaritan Center for 10 years and retired because of her health. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Bonner Springs.
She married Norman McCracken. They divorced. She married George Ryan on June 30, 1973, in Eudora. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include four sons, Norman McCracken Jr., Parsons, Donald McCracken, Lansing, Steve McCracken, De Soto, and Ed McCracken, Parsons; two daughters, Nelda Bass, Parsons, and Norma Coleman, Ottawa; a brother, Jim Clark, Enterprise; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Billy McCracken and Gary Wayne McCracken, one daughter, Helen McCracken, a sister, Elaine Borrow, and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
