Thomas Ray Courter

Inurnment services for Thomas Ray Courter, 48, Oskaloosa, were Sunday, June 12, in Buster Cemetery in rural Perry. A family gathering took place in Oskaloosa.
Mr. Courter died Monday, June 6, 2005, at his home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1956, in Winchester, the son of Franklin and Dorothy Alice May Courter. He attended Perry-Lecompton High School.
Mr. Courter served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a laborer and jack-of-all-trades for area farmers. He was also an independent subcontractor.
He married Lanora May Guthrie on May 5, 1997, in Oskaloosa. She died Feb. 4, 2005.
Survivors include five brothers, James Courter, Harold Courter, Allen Courter and Carl Courter, all of Ozawkie, and John Courter, Lawrence; and five sisters, Rosie Summerville, Oskaloosa, Kaycee Channel, Lawrence, Louise Bonham, Ozawkie, Margaret Courter, Ozawkie, and Melba Fisher, Eudora.
