Services for Harold Boehle, 87, Eudora, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mr. Boehle died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Eudora Nursing Center.
He was born Oct. 7, 1917, in Douglas County, the son of Arthur Charles and Mary Kathryn Johanning Boehle.
Mr. Boehle was a farmer for more than 50 years.
He was a life member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Trinity Lutheran Church, and served on the church council for 12 years. He served on the board of directors for the Douglas County Farm Bureau for eight years. He was a 4-H leader and past member of the Lawrence Sertoma Club.
He married Betty Jean Lescher on Aug. 26, 1945. She died March 27, 1999.
Survivors include a son, Bill, Lawrence; a daughter, Susan Mckellip, Nampa, Idaho; a brother, Edward, Lawrence; two sisters, Dorothy Gateley, Grants Pass, Ore., and Margurete Hankins, Montrose, Mo.; two grandchildren; four-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Trinity Respite Care or a charity of the donor's choice, sent in care of the funeral home.
