Because of the sale of the Eudora United Methodist Church building, Sunday services for the church will take place at Warren-McElwain Mortuary/Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, east of Eudora on Douglas County Road 442, until the end of the year. All weekly meetings will take place at Salem Chapel or at other announced locations.

  • The Eudora United Methodist Church office has moved to 1114 Spruce St. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

  • The Eudora UMC will have an auction of its furnishings at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the church building, 703 Church St. Additional donations are also being accepted.

  • The preschool program Kids' Day Out, provided by Eudora United Methodist Church, will resume from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 22 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Eighth and Main streets.

  • Prayer groups take place at 7 a.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m. Mondays at the home of Elva Kindred. Another prayer group takes place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the fellowship hall at the church.

The community is invited to attend.

The youth group at Eudora United Methodist Church will have a barbeque Aug. 27 at the new church office, 1114 Spruce St., Eudora.

All youth are welcome to attend and bring a friend.
