Registration is under way for "The Immigrant Experience," a four-part book discussion group scheduled for Mondays this fall at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St., Lawrence.
Each session will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the library auditorium.
The Kansas Humanities Council will provide books and discussion leaders for the sessions.
"My Antonia" by Willa Cather will be Sept. 25. Discussion leader is Sandra Hastings.
"China Men" by Maxine Hong Kingston will be Oct. 9. Discussion leader is Sherree Willis.
"Hunger of Memory" by R. Rodriguez will be Oct. 23. Discussion leader is Gene Chavez.
"A Walker in the City" by Alfred Kazin. Discussion leader is Caryn Goldberg.
Registration is required and space is limited. Participation is free.
