Area churches set Christmas schedules

Eudora Assembly of God will have regular Sunday morning services Dec. 24 and 31. There will be no Sunday evening services on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Clearfield United Methodist Church, eight miles south of Eudora on Douglas County Road 1061, will have its Christmas Eve service at 10 p.m. Dec. 24.

St. Paul United Church of Christ, Eighth and Church streets, will have carols, candles and communion at 4 p.m. Dec. 24 and a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 11 p.m.

First Southern Baptist Church of Eudora, 1103 Main St., will have its Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24.

Holy Family Catholic Church, 820 Birch St., Eudora, will have a Christmas Eve mass at 5 p.m. and a youth mass at 8 p.m. Christmas morning services will be at 9 a.m.

Hesper Friends Church, 2355 N. 1100 Road, two miles south on Douglas County Road 1061 and 1-1/2 miles east on 1100 Road, will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

Eudora United Methodist Church will have morning services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary/Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive. Christmas Eve candlelight communion services will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 24 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary/Eudora Chapel. The bell choir will perform and the message will be a short story written by the Rev. Michael Thomson-DeGreeff entitled "No Room at the Inn."

Clearview Baptist Church, 35800 W. 102nd St., Clearview City, will have its Christmas Eve service at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24. There will not be an evening service on Christmas Eve.
The church will have New Year's Eve service at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 31. There will not be an evening service on New Year's Eve.

Family of Faith Fellowship, 2295 N. 1300 Road, will have its Christmas presentation, "A Repeat of the Sounding Joy," an evening of humorous Christmas drama and fun, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. The community is invited to attend. There is no charge.
The church will have its Christmas Eve service at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24.
Oneway Youth will have a middle school/high school lock-in from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Dec. 29 at Eudora West Elementary School, 1310 Winchester Road. Middle school and high school youth are invited to attend.
