Pinecrest news

December 14, 2006

The Pinecrest Apartments Christmas dinner will be at noon Saturday at Pinecrest II clubroom.

With my hand still in a brace, I will have to have help this year.

All Pinecrest residents from each of the three apartment complexes are welcome to attend.

  • Dean and Cindy Hinkle, Bonner Springs, visited their aunt Tillie Bichelmeyer Thursday evening.

  • Darlene Randel visited her mother, Elva Jordan, at the Eudora Nursing Center Saturday.

  • Bertie Morriss attended a birthday dinner for her son-in-law Price McCormick at his home Sunday evening. It was given by his wife, Merlene.

Other guests were Kurtis and Misty McCormick and children Kasi and Kurtis; Travis and Brandi McCormick and son Jace; and Kevin and Anna McCormick and son Killian.

Bertie reported that she got to hold her new great-grandson Killian for the first time Sunday.

  • Randy and Beth Coleleigh, Kansas City, Mo., took her mother, Alta Vorhies, and Clarice Morriss out for dinner Saturday. In the afternoon, they played cards.

  • My son David Tuggle and grandson Austin visited me Sunday afternoon.

  • My daughter Sharon Musick, Linwood, took me to church Sunday and then we went out for lunch.

  • My daughter Sharon Musick and my great-great-granddaughter Aftyn Hankins took me to see the living nativity Sunday at the Salem Church.
