Bailie receives volunteer award
Eudora High School graduate Kris Bailie was recently named the Volunteer of the Quarter from October to December 2005 for the Whiteman AFB Enlisted Spouses Club.
Bailie's volunteer efforts included volunteering 30 hours for a rummage sale; inventing a year-round fund-raiser and working with a spinner designer to create a special B-2 spinner and publicizing the event. She is also the recording secretary for the club.
She volunteered at the thrift store; provided dinner to seven different people in need; made cookies for the cookie bus; donated time for an OSC/ESC combined social; served on a craft show committee and gave time to get it set up; provided 20 hours free babysitting to members in need; coordinated thank you gifts for squadrons and other organizations; and bought gifts for four children in need as part of the ESC Angel Tree.
Bailie's husband, Scott, is a TSGT with the Security Forces Squadron. He will be leaving in May for Afghanistan.
Bailie is the daughter of Jerry and Kim Neis, Eudora.
