Pinecrest news

February 9, 2006

The February birthday party will be at 5 p.m. Friday in Pinecrest II clubroom.

Those celebrating birthdays are Sue Durkin, Jane Ellison, Bud Nielson, Joan Thompson, Marie Robinson and Peggy Crawford.

I'm making hamburger stew. Please let me know if anyone is planning to bring guests.

  • Tammy Bramlett, De Soto, took her grandmother Elsie Mathia to Lawrence on Saturday.

  • Rocky Mason took his mother-in-law Elsie Mathia to Lawrence for dinner Sunday to celebrate Cathey Coffey's birthday. Kenneth Coffey was also a guest.

  • Tillie Bichelmeyer, Emma Jean Taylor and Julia Polfer, Olathe, drove to Overland Park and had lunch at the home of Janice Kelley. They played pinochle in the afternoon.

  • Gina Thompkins and her son Mason, both of Lone Jack, Mo., visited their mother and grandmother Clarice Morriss on Saturday.

  • Clarice Morriss and Mary Paulsom played cards Friday afternoon at the home of Kenneth and Alta Vorhies.

  • Diana Owens underwent surgery Tuesday at a hospital in Kansas City.

  • Brent Arterburn died Sunday morning at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

  • My daughter Sharon Musick and Carol Scott visited me Friday morning.

  • My grandson Robert Musick, Tonganoxie, visited me Friday evening. He had built a cabinet for me to give to my daughter Pam Snively for her birthday. The cabinet was made to hold her grandmother Tuggle's wedding dress. All he wanted for payment was for me to bake him cookies, so he picked them up Friday evening.
