All-area track team named

The all-area girls and boys track teams and the softball and baseball teams were selected recently by the Lawrence Journal-World sports staff and were based heavily on voting by area coaches and performances throughout the season.
All area coaches had an opportunity to vote for first-team, second-team and honorable mention honors.

All-area girls track team
Eudora High School coach Phil Katzenmeier was named Coach of the Year for the girls track team.

Baldwin High School sophomore Heather Garcia was named the All-Area Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
