Roy N. Sanders
A prayer meeting to celebrate the life of Roy Neal Sanders, 72, Pasco, Wash., will be Monday, Jan. 8, 2007. He was cremated.
Mr. Sanders died Monday, July 3, 2006, at his home.
He was born Jan. 8, 1934, in Ladysmith, Wis., the son of Roy and Martha Sanders. He moved to the Tri-Cities in Washington in 1979.
Mr. Sanders was a cowboy who rode bulls and broncos as a young man and worked on a ranch until he was 16. He was a truck driver until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of Calvary Church in Richland, Wash.
He married Avis "Pat" Sanders on Aug. 16, 1975, in Cour d'Alene, Idaho. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his mother, Martha Sanders, Eudora; two sons, Gary Simpson, Pasco, Wash., and Daryl Sanders, Clarkston, Wash.; a daughter, Ronnelle Anderson, Pasco; three brothers, Keith Sanders, Wisconsin, Lawrence Sanders, Eudora, and Terry Sanders, Alaska; five sisters, Dolores Tucker and Donna Schultz, both of Lawrence, Gail Wharton, Eudora, Dorthy Alexander, Eljay, Ga., and Carmen Sanders, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
His father, Roy Sanders, preceded him in death.
Hillcrest Memorial Center in Pasco, Wash., was in charge of arrangements.
