Miriam M. Setterstrom

Private family inurnment services are planned for Miriam M. Setterstrom, 97, Lawrence, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.

Mrs. Setterstrom died Monday, May 29, 2006, at Eudora Nursing Center.

She was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Vandalia, Mo., the daughter of George Robards and Nora Neal Mosby. She graduated from Vandalia High School in 1927. She moved from Kansas City, Mo., to Linwood in 1950.

Mrs. Setterstrom and her husband owned and operated the Longhorn Cafe, which is now the Linwood Cafe. She also was a homemaker.

She married Boyd W. Setterstrom in Kansas City, Mo. He died April 17, 1985.

Survivors include a son, Ted Thomas, Linwood; a stepson, John Setterstrom, Emporia; and a grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1260, Lawrence 66044.
