March 9, 2006
For the 2005-2006 Eudora Cardinals, the season was a combination of something new and something old. First-year head coach Kyle Deterding helped bring together some new ideas to a veteran line-up, the result of which was an eight-win turnaround.

Throughout most of the season, the Eudora Cardinals thrived on the mistakes of their opposition. First-year coach Ryan Luke’s team averaged nearly 22 turnovers a game during the Frontier League schedule and on several occasions netted double-digits in the points-off-turnovers category.

Flu, sore muscles slow track practice
March 9, 2006
With winter drawing to a close and the spring sports starting to take their place in the minds of many students, Eudora track coach Phil Katzenmeier isn’t exactly done dealing with the side effects of colder weather. “We’re trying to keep everyone healthy,” Katzenmeier said. “The flu is going around so we’re battling that. We always have a lot of sore muscles too to start out the year so we’re trying to get everyone back.”
Salina slide doesn’t dampen memories
March 9, 2006
Unlike many coaches, Eudora wrestling coach Bill DeWitt would just as soon cut the final chapter out of the story of his 2005-2006 Cardinals. A disappointing showing at the state championships in Salina belied a solid season, which saw improvement among his underclassmen, strong regular season tournament showings and an exciting dual victory against a tough league foe.
