Pinecrest News

Twenty-five residents and friends enjoyed the March birthday party Friday evening in Pinecrest II clubroom. Those celebrating birthdays were Tillie Bichelmeyer, Mary Margaret Katzfey and Diane Owens.

The potluck dinner will be at noon Saturday in Pinecrest II clubroom.

Tillie Bichelmeyer, Emma Jean Taylor, Valerie Richardson, Julia Polfer and Ellen Moll both of Olathe, spent Tuesday with Janice Kelly of Overland Park. The ladies went to lunch and spent the afternoon playing cards.

Joe and Marty Bichelmeyer, Jim Bichelmeyer, Marty's mother, Mary Kirk, and Cathy Cain, all of Shawnee, picked up Tillie Bichelmeyer Sunday and drove to the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Emerald. They enjoyed their corned beef and cabbage dinner.

Bertie Morriss, Peggy Crawford and Sharon Chaney played cards Sunday evening at the home of Elva Jordan.

Gina Thompkins and her son Mason, Lone Jack, Mo., visited their mother and grandmother Clarice Morriss Saturday.

Tillie Bichelmeyer received word Monday that her sister-in-law Rosa Bichelmeyer McKeny of Montrose Park, Calif., had open heart surgery last week. She is in serious condition.


  • My great-grandson Dennis Musick of Tonganoxie visited me Wednesday morning. He returned home after spending several months working in Idaho.

    My great-granddaughter Tiffany Musick visited me Saturday evening.

    My daughter Sharon Musick, Carol Scott, Clarice Morriss and I enjoyed a dinner Sunday at Summunduwalt Lodge in Kansas City. Several members of the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Lodges of Kansas were honored.
