Hall graduates from Sterling College
Cyrus Hall, Eudora, was one of 76 Sterling College graduates who received undergraduate degrees May 13 at the 114th Sterling College Commencement ceremonies. Hall received bachelor of science degree in exercise science. He is the son of Don and Julie Hall.
Beloit College senior Jason Marmon, Eudora, received the David A. Norris Research Fellowship in Chemistry May 3 at the college's Honors Day Convocation.
The convocation honors outstanding Beloit College students and their accomplishments and to encourage and support chemistry-related student research by providing funds for research expenses and travel to present research results.
More than 4,000 members of the Kansas University Class of 2006 are expected to make the traditional walk down Campanile Hill during KU's 134th commencement Sunday.
About 7,000 students are candidates for degrees in the Class of 2006. The class includes about 4,255 candidates for degrees in the spring, more than 1,600 who graduated at the end of the fall 2005 semester and more than 1,165 who completed coursework over summer 2005.

Lynda Johnson, bachelor of science in nursing; Estelle Montgomery, bachelor of arts/political science and film studies; Erika Poojara, bachelor or arts/East Asian languages and cultures; Nathanael Schonberg, bachelor of arts/mathematics and bachelor of arts; Jennifer Shepard, master of science in education; Chad Sublet, juris doctor, Jeffrey Tiger, doctor of philosophy/behavioral psychology; Lucas Tutschulte, bachelor of general studies/anthropology and geography; Shaun Whisler, bachelor of music/voice; Gerald Whiteside, doctor of audiology; and Kate von Achen, bachelor of arts/political science.
Eudora High School graduate Laura High will receive a bachelor of fine arts. Linwood graduates are Sara Baker, doctor of medicine; Kevin Hartford, bachelor of arts/environmental studies; and Hilary Rainbolt, doctor of medicine.
About 2,700 students were candidates for degrees from Kansas State University. Commencement ceremonies were May 6 in Salina for K-State at Salina and May 12 and 13 on the main campus in Manhattan.
Eudora graduates include Ryan Elder, bachelor of science in construction science and management; and Roshena Schmidt, bachelor of science in elementary education.
Linwood graduate Nancy Milleret earned a bachelor of science in aeronautical technology.
