EHS seniors to graduate Saturday

The Eudora High School class of 2006 will experience a day Saturday that was four years in the making.

An estimated 73 students will don the traditional cap and gown for commencement ceremonies starting at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Eudora High School gym.

"This is a small class," Eudora High School activities secretary Teresa Carnagie said. "Last year's class was in the 80s so it's not that much smaller, but it's still smaller."

The Eudora High School band will accompany the opening processional with Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance."

Following the processional, the graduating Cardinals will be greeted with a traditional blast from the past in a baby picture slideshow.

After the slide show, Superintendent Marty Kobza will introduce this year's commencement speaker ---- Mark Johnson.

Johnson is a former Green Beret who has branched out as a motivational speaker.
